  • What data do you track? For each user we track in-app activity such:  the day and time of each session, the number of Insight Videos you unlock, the number of Heartfulness Flows, Sacred Geometry Pulses, or 33 Second Tune-Ups you practice, and to which insight videos you gave a thumbs up / thumbs down. We track the day and time that you record in your VentBox or HeartBox so we can notify you 24hours later when your recording is unlocked, but we do not have access to any of your recordings which are stored only on your phone.

  • Is my data shared? No, your data is not shared. Your answers to the Socratic questions, as well as any written journal entries or VentBox or HeartBox recordings remain private, secure, and not shared.

  • Installing the App:  If you are installing the app for the first time, please read the Minimum requirements to run the Socreates App on your phone and make sure your phone meets those requirements. If you have an iPhone, you can download Socreates from the App Store. If you have an Android phone, you can download Socreates from the Google Play store.

  • Creating an Account with Socreates:  The quickest way to set up your account is via the social login icons (Gmail, Facebook, Apple). If you prefer to set up a separate account, you can enter an existing email address and create a new password.

  • Deleting your Account: At any point, you can delete your account and all of the data associated with it. To do this, go to the Settings screen on the top right corner of the home screen of the Socreates App. Once in Settings, scroll down to “Delete My Account”. If you think you may want to use the App again in the future, we recommend Uninstalling the App from your phone instead of Deleting your Account.

  • Uninstalling the App: Tap the Socreates App Icon on your home screen and hold it down until it starts shaking, Then simply press the “x” delete button. Note, your account will remain active unless you “Delete My Account” from the Settings within the account.

  • Canceling an Account: Socreates is free to download, and you receive 10 sessions free within the Journey Within once you install it on your phone.
Socreates knows that recurring subscription fees can be annoying, so we have decided to make it cleaner and easier for you.
Once you purchase a journey ($9.99), it is yours to use - no additional costs or hassle! There is no subscription to cancel or recurring payment to chase down.

NB: Socreates does not store your payment details; all payment details remain with the third party platform (e.g. ApplePay for iPhones, GooglePay for Androids, Paypal for Socreatesweb.com). All refunds must be processed accordingly from the platform to which you originally made your payment.

ISSUES WHILE USING THE APP

  • Help! I just logged into my account and all of my progress was erased.

    • When a user has more than one account / login / username (e.g. you created an account via Facebook or Apple ID a few weeks ago but yesterday you set up a new account with your gmail), they might be seeing the progress on an account where they haven’t progressed as much as another. Please log out of the app, and log back in with the other user account. You would be surprised how many users this has happened to.

    • If you have selected “Delete My Account” in the Settings Menu of the app, we have respected your request and your information has been permanently deleted.

  • My daily Session stopped playing halfway through: This issue often happens due to a brief interruption in an internet connection. Please try quitting and restarting the app while making sure you have a strong internet connection, as this may resolve the issue.

  • I’m not seeing certain content or my app isn't working properly. What are some troubleshooting steps?

We apologize for any inconvenience you might be experiencing with the Socreates App.  We’ll list a few things for you to try below:

    1. Please try deleting and re-installing the app, while making sure your device is on a solid Wi-Fi or service connection.

    2. Double-check your Internet connection.  We recommend strong Wi-Fi or cellular connection.

    3. Restart your device.

    4. Disable any active VPNs. Unfortunately, sometimes VPNs do not have reliable network connectivity.

    5. If you are still having trouble, reach out to our support team at: support@socreates.com or via our chat.

  • Not receiving any reminders

The reminders are sent as a push notification. For this reason, push notifications must be enabled for the Socreates app on your phone so you can receive Socreates’ reminder. Please confirm that you have push notifications enabled for Socreates on your device by following the directions here. Sometimes the reminder can take a full 24 hours to update - for example, if you were to change the time from 3PM to 6PM today, the reminder may not send a notification until 6PM tomorrow.

  • How to Fix “iPhone Reminders Not Working.”

    1. Reboot your iPhone

The first method is the simplest, but it works many times. Try to restart your iPhone by pressing the power button until “slide to power off” appears on the screen. Then slide to power off, after a while, turn it back on.

    2. Turn off Reminders from iCloud and then turn on it again. This seems simple, but removing reminders from iCloud will also remove some notification errors. To do this, go to Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Reminders. Turn it off and turn it on.
